The Fox, The Forest & The Darkness is the story of a boy named Zak and a fox named Cora. They’ve been brought together by a Darkness that grows in the Forest and threatens to spill out into “our” world as well.

Zak is a boy of the world – school, parents, expectations, rewards and punishments and it’s all getting to him. When his mother drops him in the park to complete a school project while she competes in a local sporting tournament, Zak is more than happy to drift off into the woods with his new friend Cora. She may or may not be real, but she offers something more enticiing than worksheets and busy work.

There’s wonder in the woods, for sure, but Cora also knows there’s plenty of dangers too. She also knows that Zak isn’t ready to face what waits for him but she’s committed to getting him where he needs to be in time to save her home. She can only hope that when the Darkness comes, she and Zak will be ready.

Now they just need the player to come along and help Zak realize that life is worth living in and of itself, not just as a “successful” cog in someone else’s system, but simply as himself
